Jaguars Post 2-1 Win Over Carrollton HS
|
The Annapolis HS Jaguars called upon starter Bobby Martin, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Carrollton HS Brawlers, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Martin, now 3-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Annapolis HS, at 10-12, sits in 5th place in the Eastern League Atlantic Conference.
Annapolis HS used a well-timed hit by Henry Piña to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Jaguars ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Piña said (again).
