Pirates Get Better of Wildcats, 6-2
Behind a solid performance from third baseman Sean Joyce, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates defeated the Central HS Wildcats, 6-2. Joyce was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Pirates. The winner was Chris Banks in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Errol Farmer took the loss. The Pirates improved their record to 9-10 by beating Central HS.

Pete Robinson had a big 2-run double for the Pirates in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Seton Hall Prep leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 17-year old right-handed pitcher Errol Farmer and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pirates ahead, 4-1.

Joyce attributed the win to his team's "dogged determination."
