With 5-4 Win, Bobcats Improve to 12-7
The Union City HS Hillers got a sterling performance from pitcher Josh Brown, but the Cy-Fair HS Bobcats still prevailed, 5-4. Brown threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. Cy-Fair HS reliever Jeremy Cochran picked up the win to move to 2-0. Tony Gonzáles suffered the loss. John Cleveland finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Cy-Fair HS used the timely hitting of David Armstrong to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bobcats on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Cy-Fair HS manager John Redfern attributed the win to "a little bit of this and a little bit of that."

With the victory, the Bobcats upped their record to 12-7.
