Annapolis HS 6-1 Losers to Buccaneers

Annapolis HS had no answer for Barbe HS Buccaneers hurler Ben Schultz, who overwhelmed Jaguars hitters as the Buccaneers coasted to victory, 6-1. Despite the win, the Buccaneers have a lousy 7-13 record.
The Buccaneers got a big at-bat from shortstop Kevin Alston. For the game, Alston went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Barbe HS a 3-1 lead.
"Ben pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Barbe HS manager Kevin Moore.
