Farstriders Drop Fishermen, 6-2

The Florida Farstriders topped the Gloucester Fishermen, 6-2, in Imperial League action at Streets Casino and Holdings Park at Jacksonville. The standout performance belonged to Florida pitcher and Taiyuan, China, native Hen-to Tse. Tse picked up the win for Florida, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 9-3. John Vázquez picked up the save, his 2nd.
Vito van Wondel, who finished 2nd in the IL in doubles with 47 last year, contributed to the Florida win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said van Wondel after the game.
Florida is now 55-18, 14½ games up in the Imperial League Dixie.
