The Sacramento Deltas picked up a win at Tacoma Stadium, knocking off the Tacoma Loggers, 8-2. Starting pitcher Martin Allen was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Allen surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Sacramento's record now stands at 56-48, placing them third in the Humboldt.

Trent Lester, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2040 draft, took Tacoma hurler Sandro Martínez deep in the top of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Deltas on top, 3-2. In all, Lester had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lester told the Sacramento Gazette.
