Ligers Curb Cheetahs, 4-2

Kevin Bauer pitched well, but his team, the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Blanchard HS Ligers at Mobile Ballpark. Sam De Jesús got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2 innings. Don West picked up his 5th save of the season.
Mitch Pressley had a big 2-run home run for the Ligers in the top of the sixth inning. With Blanchard HS leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Steve Gusmán and swatted a home run to center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ligers ahead, 4-1.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Pressley.
The Ligers improved to 10-5.
