A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sarasota HS Sailors and Barbe HS Buccaneers.

Behind the hitting of Ricky Curry, the Sarasota HS Sailors stopped the Barbe HS Buccaneers, 7-4. Curry went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Sailors. Kerry Osborne, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1.

In the top of the fourth, the Sailors took the lead, 5-3, when 18-year old center fielder Brian Watson grounded out, driving in 1 run.
