2-0 Loss to Panthers Extends Carrollton HS Losing Streak
The winning streak continued for DeSoto Central HS.

In a low-scoring contest between the DeSoto Central HS Panthers and the Carrollton HS Brawlers, 15-year old right-handed pitcher Freddy Sabastro proved to be the difference. The DeSoto Central HS right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Panthers win. Earning his 6th save for DeSoto Central HS was Arturo Radríguez.

The Brawlers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Panthers going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 18-year old first baseman Juan Vásquez came to the plate. Vásquez hit a solo home run on a 1-2 slider from Carrollton HS hurler James McCullough. It was Vásquez's 3rd home run of the year.

"I like the groove we're in," said Sabastro.

This loss makes it 6 in a row for Carrollton HS.
