Dave Adams did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the James River HS Rapids from being beaten, 12-7, to the Blanchard HS Ligers at Rapids Ballpark. Adams went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. James River HS now is 2-6.

Mitch Miller hit a run-scoring double off Martin Stephens in the top of the fourth, which put the Ligers in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Miller had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said James River HS manager Matt Reyna.
