Ligers Knock Off James River HS, 5-2
|
The Blanchard HS Ligers handed the James River HS Rapids a 5-2 defeat at Rapids Ballpark. Second Baseman Matt Miller starred for Blanchard HS. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Don West was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. James River HS is now 2-5.
With Blanchard HS leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Miller hit a slider from Ron Gilliam for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Ligers ahead, 5-1.
