Big Day for Schmidt: Swats 5 Hits
Ron Schmidt put on a hitting clinic as the Mobile Christian HS Cheetahs dumped the Carrollton HS Brawlers, 13-1, at Mobile Ballpark.

The Mobile Christian HS shortstop made Carrollton HS defenders earn their pay, lashing Carrollton HS pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Schmidt said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Ron Schmidt singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
