Klein-Collins HS Tumbles Again, Falls, 7-3, to Sarasota HS

The Sarasota HS Sailors topped the Klein-Collins HS Hellcats, 7-3, in Eastern League action at Hellcats Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Sarasota HS pitcher and Brandon, Florida, native Duane Erickson. The winner was Erickson. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Derrick O'Melaghlin. With the loss, Klein-Collins HS sinks to 0-6.
Sarasota HS used a clutch at-bat from Drake Hinrichs to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sailors ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
