Florida Tacks 6-2 Loss on Kentucky
|
Hen-to Tse, who finished 3rd in the IL in wins with 20 in 2039, propelled his team to victory over the Kentucky Thoroughbreds. The final score was 6-2, Florida. The winner was Tse. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Roberto Rivera. Earning his 1st save for Florida was Robert Haines.
The Farstriders got a big at-bat from center fielder Gordon Knopp. For the game, Knopp was 1-5 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave Florida a 1-0 lead.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Knopp told the Florida Daily News.
Florida, now 45-24, holds down first place in the Imperial League Dixie.
