Old Queens Edge Minnesota in Pitching Duel

Old Queens Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Rutgers Old Queens downed the Minnesota Lucky Rodents, 1-0, at Old Queens Stadium. Rutgers pitcher Dean Hooper definitely brought his A-game. The 9th-place Lucky Rodents dropped to 25-30.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Old Queens had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when left fielder Rafael Vásquez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Rhys Esslemont and made the score 1-0, Old Queens. Vásquez went 2-3 with 2 singles.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Hooper.
