Tacoma left fielder Giampaolo Eremitani played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of Portland. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Tacoma. Bill Frederick was credited with the save for Tacoma, his 26th of the season. With the win, the Loggers have a record of 57-35.

Eremitani had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 changeup from Kevin Willis, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Loggers a 6-5 lead. It was the 29th home run of the year for Eremitani.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Eremitani told the Tacoma Bulletin.
