Sharks Rebuff Roadrunners, 3-2

The San Juan Sharks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jorge Cruz. The left-hander kept the Aguadilla offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 San Juan victory at Ballpark of San Juan. Cruz, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. Getting the save was Leonard Foster, his 4th.
In the bottom of the third, Foster Silva delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the San Juan left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Sharks in front, 3-2.
Said losing manager Júlio Ortíz: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
Even with the win, the Sharks have a dismal 5-12 record.
