Commandos Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Guaynabo Commandos dumped the San Juan Sharks, 7-2, in large part due to left fielder Pablo Díaz. On the day, Díaz was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times for the Commandos. Now 3-6, the Sharks have gotten off to a poor start.
With Guaynabo leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Díaz hit a sinker from Jason Meléndez for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Commandos ahead, 3-1.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Guaynabo skipper Dave Pittman.
