Azua reliever Sixto Castro picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Rafael Pérez was tagged with the loss. Azua has now won 4 in a row.
José Aguilar delivered a big hit for Azua. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Zafiros Blanco ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
