Bani pitcher Paco Martínez did his part in helping his team beat the La Vega Luchadors de las Calles, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Martínez yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-1. Getting the save was José Estrada, his 4th.
Francisco Ortíz delivered a big hit for Bani. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Depredadores del Peravia ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
