Mario García pitched a gem to lead Bani to victory over the Puerto Plata Playas Dorada, 2-1. García got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. José Estrada earned the save for Bani, his 4th of the year.
Bani used a well-timed hit by José Martínez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Depredadores del Peravia ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"Gutsy performance by Mario," said Bani manager Ashley Roberts.
Now 9-3, the 2041 Depredadores del Peravia have been sensational so far.
