The Crystal Lake Sandgnats beat the Palm Springs Codgers, 4-3. Crystal Lake pitcher and Santa Catarina Ixtahuacan, Guatemala, native António Cuevas led the way. Crystal Lake pitcher Alejandro Rojas got the win. He's now 4-2. Pedro Molina was tagged with the loss. Crystal Lake is now 40-25, 7½ games up in the Sovereign League Great Lakes.

Crystal Lake took a 4-3 lead on Bai-luo Ruan's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Ruan hit in the top of the eighth, left Palm Springs pitcher Pedro Molina visibly frustrated.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Ruan. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
