Road Win Lifts Eton to 3-2 Lead in R4
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of second baseman Robbie Zebedee, the Eton Rifles got a road win against the Taitung HS Hermits, 9-1, in Game 5 of the Round 4. Zebedee was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Rifles, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 2.
Jacob Lyndon, the Eton right fielder, contributed a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to make the score 9-1, Rifles. For the game, Lyndon went 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"Not one of our better nights," said Taitung HS skipper Oscar Olson.
Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday at Rifles Ballpark in London.
