Hermits Hammered by Zebedee, Drop Game 4 to Rifles
|
Eton second baseman Robbie Zebedee was the difference-maker for the Rifles in what turned into a shootout with the Taitung HS Hermits. Zebedee earned accolades after going 3-for-4 in the 4-3 Rifles win. With the victory, the Rifles moved into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
With the game tied, 0-0, in the top of the fifth, Zebedee had a key at-bat for Eton. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Zebedee hit a 3-run home run off Lai-hsiang Wang, making the score 3-0, Rifles.
Hermits manager Oscar Olson did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Round 4."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taitung Ballpark in Taitung.
