Taitung HS Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R4
|
The Taitung HS Hermits got a strong performance from pitcher Kun Chu, who stymied the visiting Eton Rifles en route to a win, 6-1, in Game 3 of the Round 4. The Rifles could never get a bead on the right-handed Chu, who threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The Hermits now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Hi-yuan Chong barreled up a curveball from Colm Hollington. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Hermits in front, 4-1.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Taitung HS manager Oscar Olson. "That's what Kun is right now."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Taitung Ballpark in Taitung.
