Raucous Rifles Ballpark Crowd Propels Rifles to 4-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Conor Crashaw, the Eton Rifles topped the Taitung HS Hermits by the score of 4-1 and got their first win in the 2042 Round 4. Crashaw threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the Rifles. The win moves Eton into a 1-1 tie with Taitung HS.
Making an impact for Eton was center fielder Shane Marsland. He drilled a double off Wu-sheng Guan in the bottom of the second. For the game, Marsland went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
"We're happy," Marsland told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, May 28th , 2042 at Taitung Ballpark in Taitung.
