Borealis Gutiérrez Stops Reno for 300th Save
When Héctor Gutiérrez got to the ballpark today, he just knew it was going to be a special day.

The 31-year-old reliever was sitting just one save short of 300 for his career and anxious to reach that much-coveted milestone.

"I just had a feeling that today was the day," Gutiérrez told reporters after the game, a 9-6 Aurora Borealis win over the Reno Zephyrs. "I was a bit nervous before the game, but there wasn't much time for nerves once I started to warm up."

The newest member of the 300 club pitched 1 innings, allowed no runs and no hits in his milestone effort.

Gutiérrez has accounted for 300 saves in his career.
