Jack – I’m not kidding, drop it… ok?  Just don’t bring this up anymore.  I don’t want to hear Wyatt‘s name.  And DO NOT bring him up around Robbie, you know he’s Giesey’s boy.

Marty-

Gotcha – I just thought it was bizarre.  I mean, why would you pick now to bring up Wyatt?  I know there were some people around here that had it in for him, but I haven’t heard that guy’s name in a few years.  Did something really happen with him?

Jack – Thanks for the note.  Weekend was good.  I think the consensus up here is that Sánchez just wants too much.  I’m not worried about it – we can replace him for a hell of a lot less than he’s looking for.  Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll fleece Fargo out of some cash.

I had a chance to see the article on Wyatt.  You know how things go around here, though – I wouldn’t dig too much, ok?

Marty-

Hope you had a good weekend – you catch that front page article in the Tribune on Sunday about Wyatt?  Who does this Jezebel guy think he is? And I wonder who his “sources” are… sounds like a crock to me.  A box full of decapitated gnats – really?  Is that the best they can come up with nowadays!?  You’ve been around here longer than any of us; what is the real story with Wyatt – I heard he was a strange bird?

On more important matters, I was running the numbers and it just doesn’t look like it’s going to make sense to bring Sánchez back.  His agent is demanding something north of three million and I don’t see how we can justify it given that he’s only appeared in a handful of games thus far this season.  Let me know what you guys are thinking on this.  Thanks.

West Virginia Nailed it!!!

Today the West Virginia Alleghenies decided to revamp some of their coaches in the minor leagues.  That included firing pitching Jorge Aguilar from Maine (AA) and then promoting both David Sánchez and Akio Sai.  Doing that left an opening for a new pitching coach in Aruba (R).  While some thought that the team would go […]
