I was sitting at my desk, going through my email.  Kierstead was out of the office for a meeting with the Neo-Tokyo Akira.  He left about four hours ago.  Word around the office is he’s scared that SP Naizen Chikafuji of the Ranma Pandas won’t turn out to be a star after all.  I guess he fears he won’t fully recover from Tommy John surgery.  The fact that the scouts have seen a drop-off in his skills and his stamina and control are major issues.  If the trade goes through, I hope we get a decent return.

It was about 10 emails down and had been stamped with “YOUR EYES ONLY”.  I opened it, and after a few words, I knew this could not get out.  It read:

T.T. – you know no one can see this.  It is imperative that you do as we say.  If you do, nothing will happen to you.

The team is not making money; that, we all know.  It’s a giant cesspool of debt.  When the team was purchased at auction a few years back, the money was borrowed.  It was borrowed from us!  Last year, he had to borrow more money to deflate the amount of red ink.

We only want the best for the team and the players that play for it.  What you do not know is that we make the moves for the team, not Kierstead.  He is just a mere puppet at the ends of our strings.  I know you have noticed that he has been drinking heavily and popping pills.  That’s because we are now pressuring him to get our money back.

You should take note that we see everything and know everything.  Every move anyone in the organization makes is watched very carefully.  You think you have the opportunity to take over the team?  Do not think that is going to happen.  We hear what you say and see what you type.  Not even your diary is safe.  If we think anyone else would see what you write, we would have it disappear.

Your office, home, and even you are bugged.  If you try to look or find where and how we did this, then you will have to be removed.  You may be sweating and scared, but don’t be.  You are not part of the plan – you just happen to be collateral damage if anything goes wrong.

We will let you know when we need you to do something again.  It would behoove you to never look at your boss’s computer again because accidents do happen.  This will be your one and only warning.  You will now delete this email and continue your day.  Oh, that meeting at 10:00 a.m. has now been canceled.  Have a good day.

I did as the email said and made sure I deleted my mail.  I had no idea what kind of trouble our owner was in.  As much as I would love to look into this, I thought it best to do nothing but follow instructions and wait.  Could it be the Gundal?
