Oikake Maze Adds a New Level

Niihama, Japan – 20 November, 2031

The Maze got a facelift for its 25th year of operation, and it will get another for its 26th. Just one season after the second expansion of Oikake Maze, another add-on will result in an additional 10,000 seats available to the Niihama-shi Ghosts faithful. The additional seating may pave the way for yet another record-breaking season at the gates. Last year, 3.475M fans visited the Maze – a club record and up from 2.275M in 2029. If the news of an eminent move to PEBA was enough to drive attendance up that much, we can only imagine what the actual move will do for interest in tickets.

The last time the Ghosts moved to PEBA, fan attendance dropped from a then record 3.34M to only 2.88M – but the ownership group had raised ticket prices and ultimately pocketed an extra $20M in gate revenue. That doesn’t appear to be the case for this go-around, as average ticket price is only $16 as season ticket sales debut. With a quick burst of sales, though, that could certainly change, so call 1-800-GOGHOSTS for tickets today!

That’s 1-800-GOG-HOSTS!

The Niihama-shi Ghosts were a team as wild and erratic as the summer storms that swept across the region. They were a blend of cultures, egos, and quirks, held together by a shared pursuit of glory and, beyond that, the antics of one Fernando Valdez. A pitcher as brilliant as he was exasperating, Fernando had […]
