Hi, I am Tricia Takanawa.  We just heard a few minutes ago that the Seoul Crushers agreed to a trade with the Kure Arsenal for the Arsenal’s first-overall pick in next year’s June Amateur Draft.  The Crushers moved SP Yugoro “Checkmate” Chouda (#22) and fellow starter Tashiro Meshizuka (#35).  Besides the number 1 pick, the Crushers got in return what looks like a future All-Star in RF Kiyonori Kato (#32).  The added depth improves the outlook for the future of the team.

Seoul also worked the Winter Meetings hard to get more bats on board.  They added 1B Augusto Delgado (AAA), who looks to be a great bat, though the club hopes his defense gets better.  The Crushers also added a smidgen of pitching in MR Art Minty (AAA), who looks to be moved up to the main roster soon, and LF Masahuru Sugimoto (A), who will almost complete the outfield for the Crushers in the near future.

So what does the future hold for the Crushers?  So far, it appears to be “talent”.

I am Tricia Takanawa and this is Takanawa Times.
