Meet the new boss-Thoroughbreds hire new GM
Rumors circulating around Lexington during the post-season have been related more to Thoroughbred players rather than a new GM. It was a foregone conclusion that there would be a new man sitting in the GM’s office soon since long time GM Duane Rudis stepped down.
During a news conference today at Raceway Park, the new GM, Rory Noble, was introduced to the media.
“Today is an exciting day for me,” said Noble. “To follow a legend into the GM’s role is a bit intimidating, but also exciting. I give my sincerest thanks to Thoroughbreds owner, Mr. Shatner, for this opportunity.”
GM Noble has already been working with team management assessing both player and staff needs. “There’s a little work still to be done,” he said, “but I am confident that we are all on the same page and know what we want and how we want to accomplish it.”
“The team has missed the playoffs the past two seasons,” Noble added. “We want to change that as soon as possible. That’s our end goal. I’ve visited many of the Thoroughbreds’ fans over the past few days and I feel they are with us as we move forward toward that goal.”
The Thoroughbreds finished the 2033 season with a 78-84 record, 42 games behind division leader, and 2033 PEBA Champions, the Florida Farstriders.
