Hey guys! RJ and I are back with another episode a mere 1 week after episode 14. We couldn't keep ourselves away for too long.

LISTEN HERE!!!

In this one, we talk all about the 2029 free agent class and draft our "free agent dream team". Money is no object... nor are the time commitments we made to our loved ones! This is another doozy coming in at just under 1.5 hours, so cozy up with a nice snifter of your favorite brandy, pull on your favorite slippers and robe, and listen to two guys in their 30's wax poetic about baseball players.

Another great podcast. Well done guys!

Here's a bit of PEBA-lore: Yosuke Imai's nickname 'Bus Driver' was in honor of the ESPN personality Stu Scott. It came from his phrase:
"He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin’ him to school"

other Havana players earning Stu Scott inpsired monikers are:

P Herb 'Buttah' Martin
“Just call him buttah cause he’s on a roll.”

CL Miguel "Pillow Talk" Mercado
“As cool as the other side of the pillow”

1B Manuel“Booyah” Herrera
“Boo-Yah!”

Great work on the podcast. I may have altered my FA strategy a bit during and after the show...

Also, thanks for having two of my former players, who I let walk, as members of the all-FA-team (Rutledge and Clarke). I had to reevaluate my finances to make sure I actually made the correct decision with these guys...

I really like Lambert, but Hernandez has a better recent track record... fine choice.

Yosuke Imai has a great arm at ... catcher. Someone stick him behind the plate!

Adrian Fuentes is the biggest landmine of the draft. He's never posted a WAR greater than 3.5. Stay far away...
I tried to get Emilio Manuel to sign a reasonable small money deal in 2028... he refused.

Juan Hernandez is a clubhouse cancer. That's why we didn't pick up his team option.

Mike Clarke has a good arm for the outfield which is nice for RF. Low range with high speed means he has no idea how to track fly balls.

$50 million on roster slots 12-26! Yikes!
Florida is currently paying $189.1M for their top 11 salaries, which exceeds this list. Andy Crews is #12 in terms of the Florida payroll, and he makes $3.6M.
I love that, at 35 years old, Kang will be hitting arbitration next year if he doesn't sign an extension.
