After the impromptu disappearance, long search, and presumed eventual death of the team’s previous GM, Ron Collins, the Toyama Wind Dancers will see new leadership under the relatively unknown Kyle Miller. Right out of college, the Wind Dancers are hoping this business student and statistics major will be able to continue the team’s recent success and hopefully improve upon their already well-built roster.
Due to his unproven track record, many of the fans are slightly worried about his future tenure, but Kyle Miller reassured fans in his most recent press conference. “I am deeply sorry for the recent disappearance of the late GM, Ron Collins, but I’d like to ensure fans that the Wind Dancers will be looking to continue building upon his most recent success”. When asked how he plans to continue Kyle responded “I plan to continue building around our team's star players including Pablo Prado and Clifford Green as well as some of the young up and comers and push for the playoffs these next couple of years. I will also work with team motivational leaders including Ivan Juarez and Shiro Adachi to work with the team and lead them to the championship game”.
When team owner Dong-Kyoon Yi was asked about his decision to hire someone so inexperienced he responded “While the league is shifting more and more towards Sabermetrics, we hope to keep with the trend and continue with this greater turn towards statistics. Sabermetrics is the way forward, and this is one field we cannot afford to fall behind in”. Yi also Commented, “With the recent changes in team budget we also hope Kyle’s business education will help him manage the team's salaries and income a bit more efficiently”.
The fans are hopeful they can continue their recent success despite the loss of their old GM.
