Fargo Dinosaurs News and Notes April 21st, 2025

Just a couple weeks into the Fargo Dinosaurs 2025 season and the Dinosaurs are sitting at .500 with a 7-7 record. Here are some updates on the season so far:

[*]The offseason's big acquisition for the Dinosaurs, LF Matt Carter has been sidelined since spring training recovering from a torn meniscus but is set to return from the DL in two days. Carter is two years removed from a 5.4 WAR season for Shin Seiki.

[*]2B César Torres will be placed on the 14-day DL after straining his triceps. He's had a slow start to the year prior to the injury, hitting only .200.

[*]Stepping into Torres' role will be Yeong-hun Kim, who's been off to a blistering hot start hitting for a .960 OPS in 25 plate appearances. The 24 year old will may get an extended look while Torres is out, though another offseason signing, Jeff Henson[url][/url], has been called up to assist in filling Torres' shoes as well as backing up the other infield positions.

[*]CF Pat Watson has picked up right where he left off from his exciting rookie season a year ago, he's hitting .289/.385/.489 for a 153 OPS+ and has 4 stolen bases.
