Eli Solmirro - I'm beginning to think the crusade against Tim may be based solely upon a quiet man's privacy. I think Sam's wishy-washy actions could be far more fishy. Ezra is no wolf, so a vote there is a waste, so...

Unvote: Tim Hernbar (Hitman)

Vote: Sam Reithar (Charlie -HYA)

Sam Reithar: …I think we should all take a step back and look at the facts, do we have any real facts?

Brett Jonasco: I'm starting to get sleepy. Since there's a chance I may fall asleep and miss the deadline, I better cast my vote now.

I don't see any good reason for the artist getting the torch-and-pitchfork treatment. I don't like the quiet types any more than the rest of you, but some of you seemed eager to jump on that wagon while the day had plenty of light left in it.

No one's been a more eager beaver than Mr. Rad, our resident snow bunny. I don't got a problem with taking back a vote. I do have a problem with putting on a different hat each time the wind blows from a different direction, and I do have a problem with giving no reason for wanting to kill a man. Or a woman, for that matter; better not forget that poor cheerleader gal. So you have my vote and my reason for it.

VOTE: Sam Reithar (Shinkansen)

Tim Hernbar applied some finishing
touches to his latest masterpiece.

Image

"I'm trying to give an impression of
my innocence here!" he declared.

"You can't just paint it!" Ezra retorted.
"You have to explain it to us!"

Image

"I am a man of many colors," the artist
declared. "If a picture is worth a thousand words,
this one is worth a gazillion schmillion!"

Image

"Hold on," Ezra replied. "You said you were giving
us an impression but this isn't an impressionistic
painting, Mr. Werewolf!"

A visibly frustrated Harold Rannom, FAIA, RA, CCM, clears his throat to get attention of the sullen, dejected room: I'm disappointed by the lack of information being shared about last night. I don't trust Tim or Sam.

Facts aside, they're both pot-smoking hippies of one stripe or another, and with more and more states legalizing weed, I have far less of a vested interest in coddling punks like this.

More importantly and relevantly, I have separate reasons to believe that they are both wolves, but after thinking long and hard about it, I have decided to vote for Sam. Unless anyone follows me, of course, this is all moot, with Tim already having received 5 votes, but Sam's arbitrary flip-flopping strikes me as fishy.

VOTE: Sam Riethar

As an aside, there are at least four folks (Tim and Sam included) who I have good reason to suspect being wolven. If there is a doctor in the house, I would ask for his protection tonight.

One other note: Based on everything occurring to date, I am inclined to take the sword tomorrow to whichever of these two hipsters survives the night.

Tim Hernbar - It would seem my final chance of surviving this night is in the hopes that I was able to talk some sense into others. Unfortunately I feel very strongly that many a werewolf will survive this night as they continue to gather more information they should hold. Through the few I have spoken too, hopefully some more candidates are being brought to light for their misdeeds. Which side of the blade I end up on tonight, I will approach the light I keep seeing.

Ezra Aferlaus:

Seems I am left with a choice between Tim and Sam. Though it is a harder choice than I anticipated. At this point, I think I am going to stick with my first gut reaction and stay with Tim. Tim reached out, but the voting record seems too suspicious to me. Set off alarms. I may not be explaining in perfectly, but that's the thing with gut reactions.

This should be an interesting night. I am expecting lot's of new information from people tomorrow.

Again, good luck to everyone tonight. If I get taken out, please remember how key it is to reach out to other townies and to be sure to take out someone every day. Other wise no townies have a shot at coming out of this alive.

After a full day of discourse, the group
was still undecided on who to cast their
final vote for.

"Well, we've narrowed it down to Tim
and Sam," Ezra summarized.

Image

"However," he lamented, "it doesn't
appear that we have any good way
of knowing which is a werewolf.

"If only there was someone wise that
we could turn to for guidance."

Well, fortune would shine upon the
group that day, as along came a knight
and his squire riding up the path.

Image

"Hey, where's your horse?" demanded Marty.

"What?" responded the knight.

"You've got two empty halves of coconut and
you're bangin' 'em together."

"So? We have ridden since the snows..."

"Where'd you get the coconut?"

"We found them."

"Here in Bay City?"

"Yes, it is tropical, you know."

"Never mind, Marty," interrupted Ezra.
"Good knight, perhaps you can aid us
in our predicament."

Image

"He's a werewolf! He's a werewolf!
Stab him! Stab him!" cried the crowd,
simultaneously pointing at
both Tim Hernbar and Sam Riethar.

"How do you know?" asked the knight.

"He bit my head off!"

"Your head?"

"I got better."

"Stab him anyway!"

"Quiet! Quiet! Quiet!" pleaded the knight.
"There are ways of telling which is a werewolf.

"Tell me, does a werewolf weigh more or
less than a human?"

"More!"

"Less!"

"Very small rocks!"

"Ooh... we have a seesaw in back!"

"Perfect!" declared the knight.
"Bring it forward."

Image

"It's very simple," he explained.
"We put them both on the seesaw and
whoever weighs more is a werewolf!"

"What if they weight the same?" someone asked.

"Then they're BOTH werewolves!" the
rest cried out.

"No, no," the knight went on, "Then you
continue to weigh someone else until you
have someone heavier than them."

"Sam, you first," suggested Eli.

Image

As Sam Riethar sat on his end the opposite
end went up into the air.

"See! He's a werewolf!" Tim cried.

"Nice try, Tim," said Ezra, "Let's see
you get on there, too."

Image

As the artist sat down on his end,
Sam went up into the air and
did not come down again.

"It looks like we have our vote decided!"

***

When the day ended and the group was
gathered in the church again, Ezra pushed
Tim to the fore.

Image

"We've got another one, Larry!" he said triumphantly.
"I guess he painted himself into a corner."
