If I sign a guy from the WL can I send him to winter ball next year? I'm not sure if 6 years in the Mexican league would prohibit this.

I go strictly by how many years major league service he is credited with. If it shows 6 years ML service, he wouldn't qualify. Sometimes there is a guy who spent a lot of time on the reserve roster in one of the other leagues who might qualify.
