New Orleans hopes that playing two teams who are way below .500 which sandwich a series with division rival Coal Sox will help in gaining some breathing room. Currenlty, the Trendsetters are 3 games ahead of Charleston and 6 ahead of the Calzones.
The Trendsetters are currenlty hosting Conneticut and won the first game of the series 6-1, behind a strong effort from Coleman. Conneticut will be in town for two more games, and then New Orleans will leave for West Virginia, for a tough series against the Coal Sox.
An interesting matchup will be Manchester who will come to town with recently acquired CF Roberto Aragon. Adrianesse will pitch in the West Virginia series and so will not get the oppurtunity to face his former team.
"You know Aragon will be wanting to do well in his return to New Orleans. Any player would motivate himself with the thought of showing us that trading him was a mistake. I have no ill feelings toward Aragon, he's a great guy, it was simply a chance the team had to take," indicated Tanner.
Aragon for his part indicated that any thing he said would be done on the field.
