Consider yourself luck-wished! Do we get to learn the nature of the interview before it happens, or would that jinx it? :-?

It'd jinx it. Suffice to say if it goes well, it will completely change my life for the better.

That sounds significant enough for a second round of well-wishing. Seriously, whatever it is you're preparing for, may it work out just as well as you could possibly hope for. Get back to us when you're ready to talk about it. Until then, knock 'em dead!

Thank you all for your best wishes! It means a lot, it truly does.

Now here's the kicker. The interview is next week.

I feel like a complete idiot. I've worn a suit all day. The head of the interview committee is in Indianapolis, so at least he didn't see me poke my head into an empty office and wonder where everyone was. I checked my e-mail - it was my mistake.

You know what? That's not actually dumb at all. In fact it's almost deja vu for me, and it makes me inclined to give you a third round of well-wishes because it makes it very apparent to me just how important this is to you. The only downside is that we have to wait a little longer to find out what you're interviewing for! That's okay. I've gotten to know you pretty well in the last year plus, so I can say with absolutely no doubt that, win or lose, you're going to end up putting your best foot forward and making a positive impression.

You know what would be a neat twist? If this "interview" was a marriage proposal. Hey, I'm just saying... ;)

I'm assuming it's not my brother giving the interview, I know he told me he was hiring a couple of spots in Indy, but he's in claims adjusting

Well, I had my interview at 4 PM today (for real this time). It went how I expected - not good, and not bad.

It's for an intensive two-year teaching program during my junior and senior years of college, along with a significant scholarship. I'd graduate in an unbelievably better financial position with a two-year head start on field experience over other prospective teachers, with virtually guaranteed job placement at any high-needs school district in the country.

Problem is, I have a bad sciences GPA. I may even have to repeat a course this summer. They obviously don't like that, but love my passion.

I'll find out "very soon."
