Re: Each Team's GM History
Michael C. wasn't original, no. I may have it wrong here. Thought he joined during the original season, but I think now that Michael T. has it right and it was before the 2009. So scratch that one. Kevin Lewis was definitely running the Featherheads when they won the championship in 2011, though.

Re: Each Team's GM History
You would need to ask Denny or John Rodriguez for the details
I was not the original Kentucky GM.
In 2007 I joined the league with the season already in progress - it was after the draft and may have been after the AS game as well. The team was vacant at the time I joined, but it was manned previously.
Denny the old Codger himself, has knowledge of the situation before me ... I only know I took over an organization that had like 300 mid relievers and nothing else.

Re: Each Team's GM History
Yes, the original Kentucky and Fargo GMs were guys who flaked before the initial draft in 2007 without making any kind of draft list, so the OOTP AI did the drafting for them....and the AI was *really* partial to middle relieversThoroughbreds wrote:You would need to ask Denny or John Rodriguez for the details

I see according to this 2010 post from our illustrious initial commish that original Kentucky GM was named Josh Lehman.
I will again recommend checking out that 2010 thread (http://pebabaseball.com/boards/viewtopi ... 42&p=40592) for whomever is maintaining the official GM histories in the initial post, as it contains MANY details of GMs from the early days (hint: there were a lot of them who didn't last long).
Edit: here is another thread with reminiscences from the early days of PEBA. http://pebabaseball.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4286

Thanks for the links Denny! That was some great reading and a pleasurable reminder of the sort of banter that took place in the 'olden times' Chicken soup for a baseball soul.

Re: Each Team's GM History
Of course! A record is a record, man. Unless of course it's vinyl, in which case it's probably broken or scratched so badly you can't play it anymore, even if you had a whatchamacallit, those things that played vinyl records, we used to have them, long ago, in a previous lifetime, but I can't for the life of me remember what the hell they were ... oh, RECORD PLAYERS, of course! See, the old memory eventually kicks in. And if you have a record player then you know how valuable it is to have a record, and the Yuma Bulldozers, bless 'em, have just one record worth playing, so yes, it is indeed a good thing to aim for, to strive for ...Borealis wrote:You'll make it Bob!!Bulldozers wrote:Gosh, I only have 8200 losses to go to catch the Phillies. To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foes (all of 'em)
To bear with unbearable sorrow (tho' really it ain't so bad)
To run where the brave dare not go
To lose the unloseable game
To love defeat more than victory
To try when your arms are so weary
To throw the game when you're far ahead
To reach the unreachable depths!
This is Yuma's quest
To sink into the depths
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march
Into hell for a PEBAverse cause ...
To reach the unreachable star!

Re: Each Team's GM History
As some of you know, I've been on a bit of a mission over the last handful of seasons to document, as thoroughly as posslble, the GM history of each team.
I've now prepared a fairly user-friendly (I hope) excel spreadsheet with detailed statistics for 107 of PEBA's GMs... which consists of the vast majority of PEBA's history.
Note : I actually identified a total of 112 GMs so far, but for 5 of them I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact time range that they were in PEBA. Therefore, they are listed, but with no statistics included yet.
The first 4 tabs breaks down the list of GMs in 4 categories :
- PEBA stats only
- LRS stats only
- WIL stats only
- All leagues (that tab is called "GM List")
Here, all GMs are listed in alphabetical order, but can be sorted/filtered with the little white arrows (ascending, descending, alphabetical, numerical etc.)
After that, there is a tab for each GM with a more detailed breakdown.
Note : names in the 4 lists above are hyperlinked, so by clicking on a name, it brings you to their GM info tab.
In all GM info tabs, there is a rudimentary 'back' button at the top, bringing you back to the "GM List" tab for easier browsing.
I will try and post an updated version of this spreadsheet after the end of every playoffs (expect another updated version in a few weeks, once PEBA and WIL playoffs wrap up).
Note : The very last tab, called "CURRENT GAPS IN ARCHIVE" summarizes where the GM information is currently either unclear, or unknown.
Of course, this is an ongoing project, so any added information, corrections, or pointing out of spelling errors is always welcome.
There is a wealth of information on these message boards, and with time, we might be able to fill in a lot of the gaps.
