There is usually a chunk of decent players that go unsigned each season and sit in FA because they are asking too much for anyone to be willing to sign them. Especially the players who come from an independent league and ask for a ton because they were superstars in their previous league but usually take a season or two to adapt to PEBA

Yeah those independent league guys need to rethink who they are hiring as their agents.Wind Dancers wrote:There is usually a chunk of decent players that go unsigned each season and sit in FA because they are asking too much for anyone to be willing to sign them. I heard the "show me the money" is the mission statement of Sports Management International (SMI).Dinosaurs wrote:Yeah those independent league guys need to rethink who they are hiring as their agents.Wind Dancers wrote:There is usually a chunk of decent players that go unsigned each season and sit in FA because they are asking too much for anyone to be willing to sign them. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Winter Meetings tomorrow at 1pm EST. Hopefully, we see some trades during that time or at least some more free agents sign so we can discuss.

It took a few sims, but Toyama finally signed our first FA in the offseason, RP Dan Ross who joined PEBA from an independent league this year. Hopefully, he can improve our woeful relief situation from last year though at 25, he has some room to improve.

Good job signing him. We didn't even have a chance to make a counter offer.Wind Dancers wrote:It took a few sims, but Toyama finally signed our first FA in the offseason, RP Dan Ross who joined PEBA from an independent league this year. You should be able to do that now, the date range is 9/9/17 - 4/4/18.
As for when Morris needs them by, I am not sure.

Yes, the website has been having issues with many pages being 404'd. I'm not sure what the plan to fix it is (either contact Dan or hand admin over to someone else).Zephyrs wrote:I get an error when I click on older news stories.Wind Dancers wrote:You should be able to do that now, the date range is 9/9/17 - 4/4/18.

For counting words and articles, it's best just to go through the "League News and Articles" forum and find the articles you have done.
