Kawaguchi Officials Transmitting a Relocation?

Rumors have begun to spiral that the Kawaguchi Transmitters are exploring a relocation following the 2020 season. Multiple sources have confirmed this. This would be the first relocation since the PEBA saved the LRS back in 2010.

After a horrible year, Kawaguchi sits in last place in the SSG, with a record of 44-82. Change is on the horizon though, as many top prospects are starting to take big strides in their development. The last time the Transmitters had a winning season, the year was 2010. Much has changed since then, and a complete makeover for the Transmitters seems to be the goal for ownership.

Once the fans stopped showing up a few years back, so did the Transmitters chances of ever winning in Kawaguchi. It’s time to move on and move out. They need a fresh start, a place where no one cares about the past or anything of that sort. Sources have leaked possible relocation sites such as Sydney, Australia and Wakkanai, Japan.

A move to Sydney would surely bring much fanfare, and a very big fan interest and market. There are currently only a few semi-pro leagues in Australia, so if the LRS showed up, everyone would show up. If these rumors are true, expect opening day of 2021 to be somewhere other then Kawaguchi.

2021 seems to be the target year for the Transmitters to start competing again. They have an offense that can score on anyone, but they just need some better pitching. Two free agent and draft classes should set the Transmitters up nicely for 2021. Oh, wait, will they still be the Transmitters in 2021?

New City? New Nickname? New Manager? New Stadium? New Attitude?

No one knows for sure, but rumors are flying in Japan. We do know one thing though, change IS going to happen.
