WEST VIRGINIA — Today, the West Virginia Alleghenies announced Tim Imasa as their new General Manager. Imasa, an baseball veteran, has managed several teams in numerous independent leagues since 2009 and baseball insiders say he has a real passion for the job. While he has not yet won a league championship in any league, his teams have reached the playoffs six times and have a reputation for playing an intelligent gritty brand of baseball. In addition, he was awarded the best General Manager in a vote of his peers. While a relative unknown to PEBA, Imasa has built quite a reputation in baseball circles and Alleghenies fans will certainly come to respect the strong work ethic he brings to the job, as well as his passion for the game and his respect for the fans.
“Before we begin, I would like to thank everyone for letting me join his prestigious league. I’m going to be honest with everybody, I had success as a General Manager in several leagues, but I haven’t won a championship in any leagues. With all that being said, I am hoping to get my first championship ring here in PEBA and also bring the Alleghenies their first championship. Now, I do not know every corners of our team just yet, but from what I can see thus far, we have a very talented group of guys who want to win now. This is just the beginning, I’m sure there is more to this team that meets the eye. I really can’t wait to get started.” Imasa said to press this morning.
While the Alleghenies had some winning seasons under its belt, the team is still thirsty for their first championship in PEBA. Perhaps, Imasa can bring lady luck with him in PEBA and win his first championship here and also give the Alleghenies their first ever PEBA championship.
