The West Virginia Alleghenies would like to announce their new hitting coach for Aruba(R). Welcome to the all-time leader in games, at-bats, hits and doubles, 3rd in RBI’s and singles, 4th in runs, 9th in walks and 13th in Hr’s, and our new Aruba hitting coach, Brad Davis. Brad had decided to take 3 years off after retiring to relax with his family and recover from the 20 years in PEBA.
“I always wanted to make it back to West Virginia, but it just didn’t work out, my agent never listened to what I wanted, and I missed out. Though GM Abcarian and I had a verbal agreement that if I wanted to coach in any role, that I had a spot in the organization. After my few years off, I called him up this offseason and he said he had a job in Aruba, which I mean hell yeah!!! I am from Evergreen Wisconsin, it’s cold there, so a season or 2 in Aruba sounds great,” said Brad Davis.
“How can you go wrong hiring Brad Davis? He is smart, one of the best players EVER to play in the PEBA. How he wasn’t a first ballot HoF, will always irk me, but one day people should notice what he did. He also was a leader and was willing to do whatever was needed and held the team together. Trading him was the hardest move I ever had to make, but bringing him back is the easiest,” GM Abcarian.
“Are you serious? We hired Brad? Hot damn. We are getting the clan back together again. This is awesome. I loved being his teammate and now we are going to coach together. I am going to have to tease the GM, because I would have demanded more money if I knew he was coming back… Brad will get that joke,” said Oniji Yokoyama.
Now with 2 former WV legends joining the coaching ranks and starting off in Aruba, the folks in Aruba can expect a much better season. The one that happened last year can’t and won’t happen again with this new leadership taking charge.
