Claymores Expand The Castle to Accommodate Growing Fan Base
Edinburgh, Scotland – The Scottish Claymores are continuing to make waves both on and off the field. In a major announcement today, the team revealed plans to expand their home ballpark, The Castle, by adding 4,000 additional seats.
The expansion project is a direct response to the Claymores’ surging popularity across the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance (PEBA). Since winning the Trans-Atlantic Division again last season(4th time in the last 5 seasons), the team has seen a significant increase in attendance and merchandise sales. The Castle, which currently has a capacity of around 47,000 fans, has often been sold out during key games throughout the past few seasons.
The proposed expansion will include the construction of new seating sections in the outfield, as well as improvements to the concourse area and other amenities. The project is expected to be completed by the start of the 2025 season.
Claymores owner Brad Kern expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion. “The passion and support of our fans have been incredible,” he said. “Expanding The Castle is a testament to the growth of baseball in Scotland and our commitment to providing a world-class experience for our supporters.”
Part of the expansion includes a new area of The Castle that allows fans access to the PEBAheads Podcast Scottish Studio. Fans can watch live while PEBAheads content is created, and will be one of the studio locations for interviewing PEBA GMs across the league.
The expansion is expected to further solidify the Claymores’ position as one of the up and coming teams in PEBA.
As the Claymores prepare for the upcoming season, they will be looking to build on their recent success and continue to entertain their growing fan base. The expansion of The Castle is just one of the many exciting developments for the team as they look to the future.
