Additional seats, plus new food truck area at The Castle

The Claymores were able to add an additional 3,000 seats throughout various areas of the park by further restructuring the current layout in the stadium. Owner Brad Kern explained the importance in doing so to the media today.

“Our fans support us whether we lose or win, but finding a ticket when we compete can be tough. We made it a priority this offseason to increase our capacity at The Castle to get as many of our loyal supporters at the park as possible. I’m happy with what we were able to accomplish this offseason and am already looking into future configurations to add seats in the future.”

One of the new areas in the stadium, Ballpark Eats, focuses on the local food truck scene. Fans can enjoy offerings from The Buffalo Truck, Wanderers Kneaded, and Chick + Pea to start the season and can expect additional offerings over the summer. For additional information, see below:

The Buffalo Truck – creates divine buttermilk fried chicken burgers from their spot at The Pitt in Edinburgh. A two-time Scottish Street Food Awards winner.

Wanderers Kneaded – enjoy a homemade sourdough pizza with fresh, sustainable produce from a wood-fired oven at this old-school food truck. Find it permanently in the Meadows.

Chick + Pea – enjoy Scottish food with a Middle Eastern twist. Chick + Pea offers tasty treats ranging from haggis kibbeh to cauliflower shawarma. It’s a pop-up truck normally but find them in George Square during the Edinburgh Festival.
