Tuesday, June 14th, 2011: Kuniyoshi Kato of the Osaka Toin HS Eijisu Masters proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Nihon Koyaren Outstanding Hitter Award.
Kato hit for a .478 average while collecting 99 hits, 22 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs, 75 RBIs and scoring 53 times.

 | Kondo Top Choice, Wins Outstanding Pitcher Award
Monday, June 13th, 2011: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2011 has been presented and the Nihon Koyaren winner is Yujiro Kondo of Tennoji HS.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Kondo. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Sensei star told reporters.
Kondo excelled with an impressive 7-2 record in 10 starts. In 76 innings he yielded 69 hits and 11 walks, while striking out 104 and compiling a fine 3.79 ERA.
