Thursday, June 23rd, 2011: The top batter in the Tokyo Metropolitan in 2011 was Aoyama Gakuin left fielder Kichisaburo Murakami. Today he was named the winner of the Outstanding Hitter Award.
Murakami starred this season with a .332 batting average, 73 hits, 9 home runs, 38 RBIs, .402 OBP and 36 runs scored.

 | Yoritomo Masuda Named Premier TR Batsman
Thursday, June 23rd, 2011: Yoritomo Masuda of the Magami Akos had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2011.
The 21-year-old right fielder put up a .382 average and a .478 on-base percentage, piling up 58 hits, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 8 home runs, 26 RBIs and 38 runs scored.

 | Aoyama Gakuin Hurler Wins TM Outstanding Pitcher Award
Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Shojiro Ishii performed like a veteran on the hill for the Aoyama Gakuin Mighty Missionaries and walked away with the Tokyo Metropolitan Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process.
The 18-year-old Mighty Missionaries star fashioned a 8-0 won-loss record in 2011 with a 2.37 ERA. In 57 innings of work and 10 starts, Ishii struck out 54 while giving up 34 hits and 25 walks. He held opposing batters to a .176 average.
