Adachi Calls it a Day in Toyama
Thursday, September 28th, 2028
The manager of the Toyama Wind Dancers said the sport will be losing one of its "truly great leaders" at the end of the year. That's because 36-year-old Shiro Adachi has decided to retire at year's end.

"This is the type of guy you want on your team," the manager said. "He does everything the right way and leads by example. Our organization will miss him."

In his career Adachi has accumulated a .224 batting average with 549 hits. His totals include 125 doubles, 9 triples, 46 home runs, 516 strikeouts, 272 runs scored, 256 RBIs and a lifetime .284 OBP.
