Shimizu's Season Could be Over Friday, September 22nd, 2028 Shigekazu Shimizu will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the San Juan second baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Shimizu was injured while colliding with a player at a base in the Coqui-Featherheads clash at PRTC Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a broken bone in the elbow and would be out a minimum of 4-5 months.
In this current campaign Shimizu is hitting at a .226 clip with 8 home runs and 62 RBIs.
